Kitchen Renovation Timeline Cyprus: Week-by-Week Schedule

Quick Answer: How long does a kitchen renovation actually take in Cyprus? A realistic week-by-week timeline from first KITWOOD consultation to final inspection — including the hidden lead times nobody warns you about.

Phase 1: Design & Specification (Weeks 1–3)

**Week 1:** Initial consultation — at our Larnaca showroom or a home visit. We discuss your kitchen requirements, lifestyle, and budget. Site measurements taken (or building plans reviewed if pre-construction).

**Week 2:** Detailed 3D kitchen design produced. Material samples assembled — door fronts, worktop options, hardware. First design review meeting; design refined.

**Week 3:** Final design sign-off. Detailed quotation issued. Contract signed and deposit paid. This kicks off the manufacturing slot.

**The single biggest cause of delay in Phase 1 is appliance selection.** If you have not chosen and ordered your fridge, hob, oven, and extractor by end of week 3, you will hold up the whole project — appliance dimensions feed directly into cabinetry manufacture.

Phase 2: Manufacture in Larnaca (Weeks 4–8)

Cabinetry manufacture in our Larnaca facility takes 5–6 weeks for a typical bespoke KITWOOD kitchen. During this time:

• Door fronts are sprayed, lacquered, or veneered to your specification

• Carcass panels are CNC-cut, edged, drilled, and assembled

• Hardware (Blum hinges, runners, accessories) is fitted

• Quality inspection completed

For more complex kitchens — solid wood doors, hand-painted finishes, large island worktops — add 1–2 weeks. The customer is not on site during this phase, but we encourage a factory visit at week 6 to inspect manufacture in progress.

While manufacture is underway: site demolition (if applicable), electrical and plumbing first-fix to plan, wall preparation, and floor protection.

Phase 3: Site Installation (Weeks 9–10)

**Days 1–2:** Old kitchen removed. Site cleaned. Final wall and floor checks.

**Days 3–7:** Cabinetry delivered and installed. Base units first, then upper units, then tall larder columns. Splashback substrate fitted. Plumbing second-fix (sink + waste connections).

**Days 8–10:** Hardware fitted. Doors hung. Drawer fronts aligned. Internal accessories (bin systems, plate dividers, cutlery trays) installed. Electrical second-fix (under-cabinet lighting, integrated appliance connections).

For a typical 10–18 m² Cyprus kitchen, on-site installation runs 5–10 working days.

Phase 4: Worktop & Handover (Week 11)

Stone worktops cannot be templated until cabinetry is installed — this is non-negotiable. Once base cabinets are in:

**Day 1:** Stone fabricator templates the worktop in situ (digital laser template).

**Days 2–7:** Worktop CNC-cut and finished in stone fabricator's workshop.

**Day 8:** Worktop delivered and fitted; sink and hob cut-outs verified.

**Day 9:** Splashback fitted (if stone or porcelain). Sealant and silicone work.

**Day 10:** Snagging walkthrough with the customer. Any minor adjustments resolved.

**Handover.** Customer uses the kitchen.

A 90-day post-installation review is standard with KITWOOD — we return to check hinges, drawer alignments, and any settling, free of charge.
